Connecting Hearts, Building Hope

SOL AND SON DUAL LANGUAGE ACADEMY is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity based in Franklin, NC. We support low-income families, vulnerable individuals, and those experiencing homelessness through compassion and practical aid.

Our Vision & Mission

Every person carries a light. Our vision is a community where no one is left behind — where food, shelter, and dignity are within reach for everyone.

  • Provide immediate relief: meals, clothing, and shelter.
  • Offer compassionate support and social referrals for long-term stability.
  • Unite bilingual communities to share empathy and kindness.

Why We Exist

Born from compassion, SOL AND SON began as neighbors sharing warm meals. Today, we are a community-powered charity bringing help and human connection to Franklin and beyond.

Our Story

Catalina Solano, once a single mother and immigrant, saw neighbors choosing between rent and food. On a cold night, she and friends prepared hot meals for people outdoors. That act of kindness grew into a movement bringing food, warmth, and hope to hundreds.
